How do I format a scene heading?
Click "Scene Heading" in the sidebar or use the keyboard shortcut. Type your heading (e.g., "INT. COFFEE SHOP - DAY") and it formats automatically.
Can I collaborate with others?
Yes! You get all Google Docs collaboration features: real-time editing, comments, suggestion mode, and sharing.
How do I export my script?
Use the Export button in the sidebar. Choose PDF or .fdx format. The file saves directly to your Google Drive.
Is my script private?
Absolutely. Your content never leaves Google's servers. We don't see your work, ever.
Does it work offline?
Screenplay Editor requires an internet connection. Google Docs' offline mode may allow limited functionality.
Is it really free?
Yes. Screenplay Editor is completely free to use. No hidden fees, no premium tiers.
